Scientists Discover Drug That Inhibits Coronavirus Replication: bioRxiv
Japanese scientists have tested the effects of 9 antiviral drugs on coronavirus particles. It was found that Nelfinavir, used in combination with other HIV medications, effectively halts the replication of the virus, even with a small dosage. The results of the study have been published in the scientific electronic library bioRxiv. The researchers noted that this drug should be included in the list of potentially effective treatments against coronavirus.
They emphasized that there is currently no approved treatment for coronavirus, which is why it is urgent to investigate and identify which existing antiviral agents are effective.
