A Member of the Armenian Community Infected in Ukraine
A citizen of Ukraine, of Armenian descent, born in 1978, has been confirmed to have contracted the coronavirus. According to Armenpress, this was reported by the Executive Director of the Union of Armenians of Ukraine, Hovakim Harutyunyan, as cited by UA-Report.info.
Harutyunyan indicated that the number of infected Armenians could rise to three, referring to the family members of the first confirmed case.
He emphasized that the community is actively working to provide assistance to both the Armenian community and representatives of other nationalities living in Ukraine. 'Armenian communities in all regions are supplying humanitarian aid during the quarantine period, supporting medical staff, and conducting informational and advisory work,' the report states. The Union of Armenians of Ukraine, in cooperation with the Association of Armenian Doctors in Ukraine, is carrying out charitable deliveries of protective masks and disinfectants to Armenian communities in regions where they are needed.
