Georgia Tightens Control Measures at Upper Lars
According to Rustavi-2, a field tent has been set up near the Upper Lars crossing point on the Georgian-Russian border. Every citizen crossing the border will undergo temperature checks, and in cases of suspected symptoms, individuals will be placed in the tent and then transferred to a medical facility where doctors will determine whether the person is infected with the coronavirus.
Additionally, citizens entering Georgia are required to undergo a two-week quarantine in a quarantine zone at the Gudauri health resort. This was stated to reporters by Shalva Kereselidze, the head of Mtskheta-Mtianeti.
According to him, the tightening of security standards at the crossing point is aimed at preventing the large-scale spread of the coronavirus.
Earlier, we reported that the Customs Service is urging drivers to follow the movement rules for cargo vehicles through Georgia.
