Two Drugs Show Positive Results in the Fight Against Coronavirus in Russia: RIA Novosti
Rinat Maksyutov, the director of the «Vector» center for virology and biotechnology in Russia, informed President Vladimir Putin during a consultation that two drugs have shown positive results in the fight against the novel coronavirus.
According to RIA Novosti, he specified that these outcomes were achieved after studying more than 30 antiviral drugs.
Maksyutov emphasized that the selection of drugs with specific antiviral effects was conducted based on bioinformatics studies of data from clinical trials worldwide.
The head of the center also noted that they have begun research on 22 new drugs in collaboration with the Siberian branch of the Russian Academy of Sciences.
