Prosecutor's Office Forwards Ani Samsonyan's Application to Police
The application regarding a crime filed by Ani Samsonyan, a member of the "Enlightened Armenia" faction in the Parliament, has been forwarded by the Prosecutor's Office to the Police. Ani Samsonyan announced this on her Facebook page today, April 6.
She specifically wrote, "Dear colleagues, on March 12 of this year, I appealed to the Prosecutor General of Armenia, Artur Davtyan, to conduct an investigation into the actions of the group named ‘Guardians of the Revolution,’ which contain elements of apparent criminal activities, and to initiate a criminal case. The Prosecutor's Office has forwarded my application to the Police. I have been informed that my report of a crime has been sent to the Investigative Department of the Yerevan City Investigation Committee, Arabkir Administrative District, to be added to the ongoing criminal case regarding the same fact and to determine the joint course of action.
I would like to remind that I submitted the report of a crime based on Articles 322 (Self-justice) and 223.2 223.3 (Criminal Subculture) of the Criminal Code. As a member of the National Assembly of Armenia, I expect a comprehensive, thorough, and objective investigation from the prosecuting authority. Armenia is not a country of self-justice."
