Voting Concludes in Presidential and Parliamentary Elections in Artsakh
Voting in the presidential and parliamentary elections in Artsakh concluded yesterday at 20:00. The voting commenced at 08:00.
The elections were held across 7 regions and in the city of Stepanakert. It is noteworthy that 14 NGOs with a total of 807 representatives were registered by the Artsakh Central Electoral Commission to carry out an observation mission, along with 197 representatives from 37 media outlets.
According to data provided by the Artsakh police, the number of voters in Artsakh reached 103,663.
In the presidential election, there are 14 candidates. They are: Ruslan Israelian from the 'Independence Generation' party, Vitali Balasanyan from the 'Justice' party, David Babayan from the Artsakh Conservative party, David Ishkhanyan from the 'Armenian Revolutionary Federation' party, Ashot Ghulyan from the Artsakh Democratic party, Hayk Khanumyan from the 'National Renaissance' party, Arayik Harutyunyan from the 'Free Homeland-Union of Democratic Forces' coalition, Vahan Badasyan from the 'Unified Armenia' party, along with independent candidates Masis Mayilyan, Sergey Amiryan, Bella Lalayan, Kristine Balayan, and Melik Poghosyan, as well as Ashot Dadayan.
For the elections of the National Assembly of Artsakh, two party coalitions and ten parties presented electoral lists.
It is reminded that due to the coronavirus pandemic, all preventive measures were taken at polling stations ahead of the nationwide elections.
