Local Production of Coronavirus Tests Discussed: Avinyan

The Prevention Commission of Coronavirus is discussing the launch of local production of tests with one of the scientific institutes of Armenia,” reported Deputy Prime Minister and Chief of the Emergency Situations Department Tigran Avinyan.

“We will also support them in terms of ensuring raw materials. At this stage, we are trying to understand how much we can import special equipment so that the tests can be carried out in an automated mode. Currently, the preliminary plan is to produce 100,000 tests if we can ensure all conditions,” he noted.
