We Are Prematurely Halting Meetings in Open Areas as Well: Araik Harutyunyan
The candidate for the President of the Republic of Artsakh, Araik Harutyunyan, has announced that he is prematurely halting campaign meetings due to the risk of the spread of the new coronavirus. He made this statement on his Facebook page.
“Despite the various methods of struggle and the strict measures being implemented in the Motherland, it is concerning that the number of people infected with the new type of coronavirus continues to rise. As you are aware, a few days ago our political team decided to refrain from holding intensive meetings in closed spaces, but considering the daily threat of the virus's penetration and spread, we have decided to conclude our meetings in open areas as well on March 25,” Harutyunyan wrote.
“We ask for the forgiveness of all our compatriots with whom we could not meet. Given the situation, I will also postpone the online press conference scheduled for March 25 by one day. Today, I will be in the city of Martuni, where I will meet with the residents of the regional center at 18:00 at the ‘Avagyan-Arena’ stadium. Following the 'established tradition' of the campaign, I am preparing to make several noteworthy announcements. You can follow the meeting live on my Facebook page. Health and peace to us all,” Harutyunyan added.
