Azerbaijan Prohibits Those Over 65 from Leaving Their Homes
The authorities in Azerbaijan have prohibited individuals aged 65 and older from leaving their homes. This measure will be in effect from March 24 to April 20 as part of strict regulations to prevent the spread of coronavirus.
According to Lenta.ru, referencing local sources, individuals over 65 are banned from leaving their residences, and social services will be provided to elderly individuals living alone.
All citizens are forbidden from gathering in public places with groups larger than ten people, and it is also advised to maintain a distance of two meters from each other.
Access in and out of Baku and Sumgait has been restricted, and intercity passenger transportation has been halted. As of the latest data, 72 cases of coronavirus infection have been registered in Azerbaijan.
