According to information received from the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Georgia's Emergency Management Department and the Russian Federation's Ministry of Emergency Situations North Ossetia's crisis management center, the Stepantsminda-Lars road is closed to all types of vehicles.
Drivers are advised to travel exclusively with winter tires.
