Criminal Case Launched Over Mass Poisoning from Eclairs
A criminal case has been initiated in the Vanadzor police department regarding the mass poisoning incident involving eclairs that occurred at the end of January this year. This information was confirmed by Edgar Janoyan, the deputy head of the Armenian Police’s Information Department. He stated, “The criminal case has been initiated under Article 279, Part 2, Clause 2 of the RA Criminal Code (Issuing or selling products that do not meet safety requirements, carrying out works or providing services that have recklessly harmed the health of two or more persons). The case has been forwarded to the Investigative Committee for further investigation.”
It should be noted that from January 27 to February 5, more than 60 poisoned individuals were hospitalized in the Vanadzor infectious diseases hospital, the majority of whom were children.
