Why Did Nikol Pashinyan Fly to Syunik by Helicopter? Pashinyan's Response
During his speech in Kapan, Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan addressed the circumstances surrounding his helicopter trip to the Syunik province, stating that the opposition had found a violation and is discussing the matter.
“Why did I come in a state vehicle? Because I cannot not come, because according to the law accepted during the time of the 'nuker' (what a nice name, isn’t it?), the Prime Minister is considered a protected official and cannot even refuse such protection. Even if I run away, all these people will run after me to catch me,” said the Prime Minister, recalling a recent incident where they had decided to secretly stroll in Yerevan without bodyguards.
