Georgian Deputy Minister Isolated Due to Suspected COVID-19 Infection
According to Alik Media, Yuri Nozadze, the Deputy Minister of Environment Protection and Agriculture, has self-isolated after a family member tested positive for coronavirus. This information was confirmed by Levan Davitashvili, the Minister of Environment Protection and Agriculture.
“Mr. Yuri has refrained from all public meetings, gatherings, and press conferences. He is in isolation, which confirms his great civic responsibility. Tests conducted have shown that Mr. Yuri has not tested positive for coronavirus,” stated Davitashvili.
On his Facebook page, Deputy Minister of Economy and Sustainable Development Gennady Arveladze also announced that he is in isolation after having had contact with an individual in Georgia who tested positive for the virus.
