The Case for Which 'Oshakan Gevorik' Was Detained Has Been Revealed

Gevorg Melikyan, known as 'Oshakan Gevorik,' has been detained in connection with a criminal case of attempted murder. This information was provided to 'Pahstinfo' by Aram Avetisyan, the head of the information and public relations department of the Investigative Committee.

We previously reported that on March 4, officers from the Ashtarak police department detained the 50-year-old man from his home in the village of Oshakan. The detention was conducted within the framework of a criminal case initiated by the Investigative Committee's division for serious crimes in Yerevan.

The Investigative Committee stated that he holds the status of a witness and was detained under articles 34-104, part 2, point 1, and 235, part 1 of the RA Criminal Code, regarding the attempted murder of two or more individuals and illegal possession of firearms. Following the interrogation, the 'thief in law' was released.
