Threatening Letter and Bullet Sent to Turkish Mosque in Germany
A package containing a gun bullet and a threatening letter has been sent to the Turkish mosque associated with the "Turkish Islamic Union for Religious Affairs" in the city of Röttingen, Bavaria, Germany, reports ermenihaber.
The letter stated, "You will never be safe." Recep Calik, head of the Turkish Islamic Union's Röttingen office, commented on the incident, saying, "We have good relations with local authorities and our neighbors. This is the first time something like this has happened to us. We are very concerned. An agreement has been reached with the police station to establish surveillance in the first phase around the mosque."
Employees of the mosque have contacted the police, and an investigation has been launched regarding the matter. It is worth noting that this is not the first incident of its kind in Germany; two similar cases were reported last month in different cities across the country.
