Record Surge in Coronavirus Cases Reported in Iran
Iran has reported a record surge in the number of coronavirus cases in the country. This was revealed on March 6 by Kianoush Jahanpur, the official representative of the Ministry of Health.
“In the past 24 hours, 1,234 cases have been confirmed, which is a record. According to the new data, the total number of infected individuals is 4,747,” he stated during a broadcast on IRINN channel.
The official noted that such a record increase is associated with the fact that authorities have increased the number of centers where virus testing can be conducted. This has made it possible to identify the scale of the virus more quickly.
