Iranian Diplomat Hossein Sheikholeslami Dies from Coronavirus
Iranian media reports that Hossein Sheikholeslami, an Iranian diplomat and former member of parliament, has died at the age of 68 due to pneumonia caused by the coronavirus.
He has held various positions, including that of the Iranian ambassador to Syria, and served as an advisor to Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif.
It is noteworthy that before Hossein Sheikholeslami, a member of the Iranian Parliament, had also died from the coronavirus, with over 20 others infected. On March 2, member of the Expediency Council Mohammad Mir-Mohammadi also passed away.
Currently, the number of coronavirus infections in Iran has reached 3,513, with 108 deaths, and 739 individuals have recovered.
