Ryanair Cuts Flights Due to Coronavirus
Ryanair, the budget airline, informed passengers on March 2nd that it is reducing its flights due to the coronavirus. The cuts primarily affect flights heading to and from Italy. The company reports that the initial restrictions will last for three weeks, from March 17 to April 8.
As a result of the coronavirus, the airline has observed a decrease in ticket bookings for late March and early April over the past week. Additionally, there has been a significant number of passengers not showing up for flights, especially from Italy and within the country.
“Ryanair continues to carefully monitor the booking process and remains flexible in its scheduling in response to the developments of the situation,” the statement said.
