Russia Limits Air Travel with Iran
Starting from February 28, Russia will restrict air travel with Iran due to a coronavirus outbreak. According to TASS news agency, citing the Russian Ministry of Transport, regular flights between the two countries will only be operated by Aeroflot and the Iranian airline Mahan Air.
Currently, the only Russian airline conducting flights to Iran is Aeroflot, which operates a single flight per day.
“From midnight, a temporary ban will be imposed on regular and charter flights from the territory of the Russian Federation to the Islamic Republic of Iran and vice versa. The ban does not apply to Aeroflot and Mahan Air. Flights from Moscow to Iran will only depart from terminal F of Sheremetyevo airport,” the announcement states.
