Nikol Pashinyan Writes a Poem About the Referendum

Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan has written a poem regarding the constitutional reform referendum scheduled for April 5, which he shared on his Facebook page.

“I dedicate this poem to the proud Citizen of the Republic of Armenia, celebrating the victory on April 5: Yes to the Revolution at the Referendum; There is no turning back to the murky past—

With a smile towards the dawn of tomorrow, The people rise, proud and united.

Yes to Justice, No marauder will escape, To answer for the crime and to face the horrific terror of retribution.

Yes to Freedom, I have achieved it with my own hands, For the multitude of treachery over many years, This value taken from me is hard-won.

Yes to New Armenia, Happy, powerful, sovereign, free: And to my people, I say family, And to my homeland, a beloved home.

Yes to the Revolution at the Referendum; There is no turning back to the murky past, With a smile towards its future, The people rise, proud and united.”
