Macron Does Not Abandon Idea of Criminalizing Denial of the Armenian Genocide
French President Emmanuel Macron has not abandoned the idea of criminalizing the denial of the Armenian Genocide. He announced this on January 29 during a speech at an event organized by the Coordinating Council of Armenian Organizations of France (CCAF).
As reported by Nouvelles d'Armenie, while discussing the significant issue of criminalizing the denial of the Armenian Genocide—a key topic for the Armenian community—Macron stated that work is underway to find a legal path towards the adoption of the appropriate law.
“And I want to reassure you. I am not the person who will shy away from complex solutions, even at the end of my mandate,” Emmanuel Macron added.
