Black Ice Present on Roads in Syunik Province
The Ministry of Emergency Situations reports that as of January 24 at 10:00 PM, there are closed and difficult-to-navigate roads in the territory of Armenia.
The Vardenyats Pass is closed for freight vehicles, while it is difficult to pass for passenger cars. In the roads of Syunik province and the Sotk-Karabakh highway, there are patches of black ice.
In Syunik province and the city of Jermuk in Vayots Dzor province, snow is falling. According to information received from the Georgian Ministry of Internal Affairs' Emergency Department and the Russian Ministry of Emergency Situations' North Ossetia Crisis Management Center, the Stepantsminda-Lars road is open for all types of vehicles.
