There Are Closed and Difficult Roads: Snowfall in Some Regions
The Ministry of Emergency Situations reports that as of January 24, at 08:40, there are closed and difficult roads in the territory of Armenia.
The Vardenyats Pass is closed to heavy vehicles and difficult to navigate for passenger cars. The Sotk-Karvachar road is difficult for heavy vehicles but open for other types of transportation.
There are patches of black ice on the roads in the Syunik region. Snow is falling in several areas, including the towns of Ashtarak in Aragatsotn province, Yeghegnadzor in Vayots Dzor province, Chambarak in Gegharkunik province, and in the town of Vardenis, as well as on the Sotk-Karvachar road.
According to information from the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Georgia and the Crisis Management Center of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of the Russian Federation in North Ossetia, the Stepanzminda-Lars road is open for all types of vehicles.
