«Hayastan». NSS Has Begun Wiretapping Hrayr Tovmasyan's Calls

«Hayastan» newspaper reports: Last week, we mentioned that NSS investigator Asatryan submitted a request to the court for a search to be conducted at Hrayr Tovmasyan's residence and parental home, which was rejected by the first instance court.

Yesterday, we learned that investigator Asatryan has also approached the court to obtain permission to wiretap Tovmasyan's phone conversations and to seize transcriptions of previous conversations.

The first instance court again denied the request, but the prosecutor general appealed, and the appellate court judge Sevak Hambardzumyan has granted it. As a result, starting Monday, the NSS has begun to legally wiretap Tovmasyan's calls and has seized transcriptions of his previous phone calls from the corresponding mobile operator.

We were informed that Judge Hambardzumyan has never made a decision against the executive authority, and he is among the judges with the lowest ratings in the helpcourt.am rating system.
