Abdulayev, the Azerbaijani 'Blogger' who Met with Pashinyan, Runs in Parliamentary Elections

The Azerbaijani 'blogger' Ata Abdulayev, who had a dialogue with the Prime Minister of Armenia, has announced his candidacy for the upcoming parliamentary elections in Azerbaijan. Abdulayev's candidacy is registered on the official website of Azerbaijan's Central Election Commission.

It is noteworthy that during a meeting with representatives of the Armenian community at the Armenian Apostolic Church of the Forty Martyrs in Milan, an Azerbaijani man, presented as a 'blogger', entered the church. Upon entering, he addressed the Prime Minister, calling for an end to the war. A slight commotion ensued in the church, as local Armenians initially prevented the blogger from speaking; however, Pashinyan requested calm and allowed the Azerbaijani to express his views.

Later, the man asked if he would be allowed to leave the premises afterward. ‘Yes, I guarantee it,’ replied Pashinyan, before addressing various questions from Abdulayev.

‘It is a fact that you, as an Azerbaijani, entered an Armenian church where Armenians are present and posed a question to the Prime Minister of Armenia. I want to emphasize that there would be no opportunity for an Armenian to enter an event where the President of Azerbaijan is present and ask him a question. This is the first point,’ the Prime Minister stated.
