Manvel Grigoryan's Health Condition Remains Seriously Stable: Human Rights Defender
The Human Rights Defender is in constant contact with Manvel Grigoryan's doctors and lawyers. Regular visits have been carried out, and necessary medical documents have been reviewed. The Defender published this information yesterday, and these efforts have continued early this morning.
According to the doctor treating Manvel Grigoryan, his health condition continues to remain seriously stable. Today, the doctors informed the Human Rights Defender's staff that a consultant from the Ministry of Health of Armenia visited Manvel Grigoryan and provided medical recommendations regarding heart issues.
Manvel Grigoryan is currently under medical supervision and receiving medication. He was transferred to the “Nairi” medical center after the Human Rights Defender's statement on June 7, which indicated that the conditions in the prison were inadequate for conducting the necessary medical examinations and providing medical assistance.
During Manvel Grigoryan's stay at the place of deprivation of liberty and in the civilian medical establishment, the Human Rights Defender's staff has carried out all necessary actions in full. The Human Rights Defender emphasizes that during the pre-trial investigation of Manvel Grigoryan's case, he has repeatedly raised the issue of changing the restrictive measure in relation to Grigoryan's health condition in writing.
Currently, Manvel Grigoryan's case is under judicial proceedings. The law prohibits the Defender from intervening in the court proceedings, and the authority to lift the detention of Manvel Grigoryan at this stage of the case is reserved exclusively for the court.
Issues concerning Manvel Grigoryan's health condition and rights remain a focal point for the Human Rights Defender.
