Car Importers' Protest in Front of the State Revenue Committee
Today, car importers gathered in front of the State Revenue Committee to protest the shortage of brokers at the customs, which has resulted in their inability to complete paperwork on time. As a result, their vehicles will undergo customs clearance under a new calculation method.
“They are not providing enough workers; we are all faced with the problem that there are no brokers. One broker says, 'I have so much work, I can’t keep up.' I brought my vehicles and completed the customs clearance before December 31, but the brokers can’t keep up,” he stated.
Participants in the protest expressed hope that a solution will finally be found in consultation with the Prime Minister. “We are asking for additional time. Let them have workers so that we can complete the customs clearance,” said one protester, noting that they had brought their vehicles on time and operated within the law in terms of customs clearance.
