Black Ice Reported on Sisian-Goris and Goris-Kapan Highways
The Ministry of Emergency Situations informs that as of January 11 at 10:15 AM, there are closed and difficult-to-navigate roads in the territory of Armenia. The Vardenyats mountain pass is closed for trucks. The Sotk-Karvachar highway is difficult for trucks to navigate. There is black ice present in places on the Sisian-Goris and Goris-Kapan highways.
According to information received from the Georgian Ministry of Internal Affairs and the North Ossetia's Crisis Management Center of the Russian Emergency Situations Ministry, the Stepanavan-Lars highway is open for all types of vehicles. Drivers are advised to travel exclusively on winter tires.
