Armenian Defense Ministry Officials Embezzled MO Samples Provided to the Ministry, Says ORSIS Representative

Several high-ranking officials in the Armenian Ministry of Defense have been dismissed due to the situation with ORSIS, yet the main culprits have not yet been punished. This was stated by a representative of the Russian arms manufacturing company ORSIS in an interview with РИА Новости.

“It is still unknown why there has been no official response to our invitation to meet with the Armenian Ministry of Defense. We have received information that our MO samples provided to the ministry have been embezzled by certain officials of the Armenian Ministry of Defense,” he noted.

The company representative pointed out that ORSIS sees progress in the previously suspended competition process for supplying military equipment to Armenia. It should be reminded that ORSIS was placed on the 'blacklist' of companies supplying weapons to Armenian security forces immediately after the competition, the results of which required the company to supply several million dollars worth of weapons to Armenia.

Later, the Russian Ministry of Trade sent an official letter to Armenian Defense Minister David Tonoyan, deeming the Armenian side's decision unacceptable and illogical.
