Serj Tankian Thanks Congress on Behalf of His Grandparents

I want to thank Congress on behalf of my grandmother and grandfather.

System of a Down frontman Serj Tankian wrote on his Twitter page, calling the adoption of the resolution on the Armenian Genocide a "historic step by the U.S. Senate." He stated, "This is a historic step by the U.S. Senate. It has awakened me as an activist, and that is why I want to say that positive change can occur around the world if we fight for it."

It is worth noting that the U.S. Congress's upper chamber, the Senate, unanimously passed a resolution recognizing the Armenian Genocide, rejecting Turkey's policies against the commemoration of the victims of this atrocity in the U.S.
