Bare Ice and Fog: Roads in Armenia

The Ministry of Emergency Situations reports that as of December 13, at 3:30 PM, the roads in Armenia are mostly passable. The Sotk-Kaarvachar road is open for all types of vehicles, while trucks are allowed with the use of snow chains.

There are patches of bare ice on the Vardenyats Pass and the Sotk-Kaarvachar road. Snow is falling in the Kotayk region, in the Talin area of the Aragatsotn region, as well as in the towns of Ashtarak, Aparan, and in the city of Jermuk in Vayots Dzor province. Fog is present in the city of Abovyan in the Kotayk region.
