34-Year-Old Man Jumps from Kiev Bridge

On December 11, at midnight, a man jumped from the Kiev Bridge in Yerevan. He died at the scene. This was confirmed by the press service of the Armenian Police.

The police have identified the man, though they have not released his name. He was 34 years old.

The Ministry of Emergency Situations also received an alert, but since the man could not be saved, rescuers did not head to the scene.

The issue of suicide is very sensitive, which is why it has not been common to publish statistical data from the last 5-10 years globally, to avoid causing panic. Nevertheless, statistics indicate that in Armenia, more adults men and teenagers tend to commit suicide.
