Stray Dogs Attack 17-Year-Old Girl Near Yerevan School While Returning Home from Class
A serious incident occurred today in Yerevan. Around noon, near School No. 154 located in the Homeland area, two stray dogs attacked a 17-year-old girl who was on her way home from class.
In an interview with ArmDaily.am, the girl's mother reported that the dogs were not sterilized. The girl recounted how passersby intervened to help and freed her from the dogs, but one of them managed to bite her leg. 'We took the child to the hospital, she has received all her vaccinations, and she is doing well now,' said the girl’s mother.
She also noted that there are many dogs in the area, but this is the first instance where they have attacked and bitten people. 'I don’t want the dogs to be killed or harmed; I just want them to be moved to an appropriate place or vaccinated and sterilized so that they don’t attack people. The city hall has responded and is aware of the incident; I hope they will help,' she added.
