Truck Overturns on Yerevan-Meghri Highway
The Ministry of Emergency Situations reports that on December 6th, at 11:12 AM, an emergency call was received by the 911 service indicating an accident near the customs office in Sisian, Syunik province, with a fuel leak present.
A firefighting team from the regional rescue department was dispatched to the scene. Upon arrival, rescuers determined that a truck with a trailer, branded as "Volvo" (driver: Iranian citizen Mahmoud Gh., born in 1974), had overturned on the 7th kilometer of the Sisian-Yerevan section of the Yerevan-Meghri M-2 highway. The accident caused damage to the trailer's support and the fuel tank, resulting in the trailer tilting and blocking the road, with fuel leaking from the tank. Fortunately, there were no injuries reported.
