Fact: When you voted for the Prime Minister, you did us no favor

«Fact» newspaper writes: How many heads did you have that you wouldn’t choose a Prime Minister here? The people demanded it like this.” Yesterday, this was expressed by the Deputy Speaker of the National Assembly Alen Simonian, addressing the Prosperous Armenia Party. Hayk Konjoryan, who transferred from LHK to the My Step alliance, added that “when you voted for the Prime Minister, you did us no favor, but fulfilled the people’s demand.”

Such statements, which are a constant part of the daily lexicon of the current authorities, give a comprehensive understanding of their psychological state, adopted strategies, and consequences. Continuously manipulating the name of the people and hiding behind it, the authorities have detached themselves from the very people within just a year and a half, lost in the waves of arrogance, imagining themselves as irreplaceable, omniscient, and all-right individuals.

As a result, if we slightly alter the famous words of Sahak from a well-known film, the vast majority of them view reality from the windows of their offices, service cars, or, worse, through their Facebook pages. In short, they have become disconnected from reality in an incredibly short period.

Moreover, this is the perspective of a significant part of the expert community and the sober and sensible segment of society, which is periodically voiced; however, the complex of infallibility prevents the authorities from seeing reality. Although there is another opinion shared by many political scientists, namely that the extreme behavior of the authorities in recent times, their ferocious attacks on anyone they have 'crushed', including through the law enforcement system, might be the result of their excellent understanding of their declining rating.
