Head of Saravan Community Injured in Accident in Vayots Dzor Province

On December 3rd, a traffic accident occurred in Vayots Dzor Province involving 56-year-old Razmik Manukyan, the head of the Saravan community.

According to photojournalist Gagik Shamshyan, at around 15:30, Manukyan overturned his VAZ 2121 vehicle with the license plate 34 TR 888 on the 155.5 km section of the Yerevan-Meghri highway under still unknown circumstances.

As reported by G. Shamshyan, Manukyan was transferred to the Vayk Medical Center for medical examination. Officers from the 1st platoon of the 6th battalion of the Road Police arrived at the scene under the command of an inspector.

The investigative officer Sirikanian from the same battalion is preparing materials regarding the incident.

Note: A suspect or accused in a presumed crime is considered innocent until proven guilty according to the procedure established by the Criminal Procedure Code of the Republic of Armenia, with a legally binding sentence from the court.
