16-Year-Old Demands Money to Prevent Release of 17-Year-Old Girl's Semi-Nude Photos

According to SHAMSHYAN.com, officers from the Community Police Division of the Ashtarak Police Department received operational information indicating that between September and November of this year, on various days, a 17-year-old resident of Aragatsotn province, Yana M., demanded money from another resident of the same province, 17-year-old Lusine H., threatening to show her semi-nude photos to other individuals.

As reported by photojournalist Gagik Shamshyan, on December 3, officers from the Ashtarak Police Department invited Yana M. for questioning regarding this act, where it was confirmed that the received operational information was accurate. Yana confessed that during the period from September to November, a 16-year-old resident of Aragatsotn province, Vahan Y., threatened her, claiming that her photos would be edited using 'Photoshop' to make her appear naked and sent to her fiancé, forcing her to take the money from Lusine H. and give it to him.

On the same day, Vahan Y. was taken to the Ashtarak Police Department for questioning regarding the incident and was released after providing an explanation. Investigations are ongoing at the investigative division of the Ashtarak Police Department. According to G. Shamshyan, approximately 750,000 AMD was obtained from Lusine H. as a result of the extortion.
