Armed Robbery Case Discovered
The investigative department of the Aragatsotn regional investigative committee has revealed several circumstances surrounding an armed robbery incident in the village of Aragats. Charges have been brought against three individuals.
According to the data obtained during the investigation, the individuals allegedly involved in the crime entered a home in the village of Aragats, Aragatsotn region, on November 18, 2019, around 11:30 PM, with the intent to commit armed robbery and steal significant amounts of property. They threatened the homeowner with severe violence using a crowbar, stealing gold jewelry valued at approximately 690,000 AMD, two bank cards, alcoholic beverages, and cash. They then bound the woman’s hands and feet with duct tape before fleeing the scene.
Based on the combination of evidence collected in the criminal case, charges have been filed against men born in 1982 and 1980 under the first, second, third, and fourth parts of Article 175 of the Criminal Code of Armenia, and against a man born in 1989 under the same article and part two of Article 324 of the Criminal Code. They have been arrested as a preventive measure. The preliminary investigation is ongoing.
