Administrative Proceedings Launched Following Publication About Expired Vaccine

Based on a citizen's alarm posted on the internet regarding an attempted use of expired polio vaccine during the vaccination process of a child at Yerevan's Number 16 polyclinic, the Health and Labor Inspection Body has initiated administrative proceedings. This was reported by the Health and Labor Inspection Body of the Republic of Armenia.

Accordingly, an investigation is being conducted within the established timeframe to determine compliance with the sanitary-epidemiological rules and norms as set forth by the order number 20N issued by the Armenian Minister of Health on October 15, 2008, regarding the organization and information dissemination of the immunization process in Armenia.

Additional information will be provided regarding the results of the administrative proceedings. Given the crucial importance of vaccinations and the necessity to organize the vaccination process at the highest level, any information relating to vaccinations becomes a basis for observation to eliminate issues and the spread of unreliable information among the public.
