For over 2 hours, more than 60 vehicles, most of which are equipped with summer tires, have been stranded on black ice on the Yerevan-Gyumri highway, specifically in the Lanjik area, according to Shamshyan.com.
According to the website, the Road Police are actively managing the situation in the affected area to ensure that the road maintenance crews from the Hayavar roads company can commence snow removal operations.
At this moment, traffic in the affected area has been temporarily halted, while the maintenance teams continue to treat the roads with salt and sand.
