Attention Drivers: As of now, there are closed and difficult roads in the regions
The Ministry of Emergency Situations reports that as of December 2, at 20:06, there are closed and difficult roads in the territory of Armenia.
The Vardenyats pass (from the Gegharkunik region) is closed for trucks, while the Sotk-Karvachar road is difficult for trailers and inaccessible for others. The Lanjik-Mastara road is closed.
The following alternative route has been established: Talin-Karakert (Armavir region)-Gyumri. The Alagyaz-Artik road is difficult to pass.
There is snow on the Sotk-Karvachar road, in the bends of Tigranashen in Ararat region, in Gegharkunik region, in the cities of Spitak and Stepanavan in Lori region, in the regions of Aparan and Tsaghkahovit in Aragatsotn region, in Shirak region, in the city of Kajaran in Syunik region, in the village of Gorayk, in the section known as 'Meghru Sar', in the section called 'Zanger', and in the city of Charentsavan in Kotayk region.
There is fog on the Sotk-Karvachar road in the cities of Goris and Sisian in the Syunik region.
According to information received from the Road Department of the Ministry of Regional Development and Infrastructure of Georgia, the Stepantsminda-Lars road is open for all types of vehicles. According to information from the Russian EMERCOM of North Ossetia, approximately 230 trucks are stranded on the Russian side. Drivers are advised to travel exclusively on winter tires.
Construction works are underway on the Vanadzor-Alaverdi-Bagratashen road, resulting in the section being closed for trucks. An alternative route has been established: Dilijan-Noyemberyan-Bagratashen.
