Arrests of Kurdish Party Members Continue in Turkey: Expert
Karen Hovhannisyan wrote on his Facebook page: “Arrests of members of the Kurdish 'People's Democratic Party' and local government leaders continue in Turkey. On December 1, several local government leaders from the southeastern provinces were arrested, totaling 10 individuals. Following the municipal elections held in March 2019, an additional 25 mayors from this party have been arrested, being removed from their positions and accused of supporting terrorist elements. The government has appointed its own candidates to those positions.”
