Edgar Shatinyan Resigns
Edgar Shatinyan, a member of the Commission on Prevention of Corruption, has ceased his membership. He announced this on his Facebook page.
“Given the maximum trust from the National Assembly towards me (personal and professional qualifications) and the absolute distrust of three members of the Commission on Prevention of Corruption, I find it inappropriate to continue my service as a member of the Commission. The current circumstances are incompatible with my views on professionalism and teamwork. I sincerely congratulate the newly elected president of the Commission on Prevention of Corruption, Haikuhi Harutyunyan, wishing her only success. I thank the ruling 'My Step' faction of the National Assembly for nominating me for the position of a member of the Commission and also the National Assembly for granting me a vote of confidence,” he wrote.
