‘Zhoghovurd’. Winter Coats Neither Worn Nor Kept in Closet – What’s the Purpose of Reordering Them?
‘Zhoghovurd’ newspaper reports that prosecutors who approached the editorial office have informed that none of them has ever worn the winter coats made for prosecutors, yet the Prosecutor General’s Office continues to order winter coats today.
In this regard, officials from the Prosecutor General’s Office clarified to the newspaper that according to a government decision, prosecutors are provided with winter coats and raincoats once every three years, and coats were not provided to prosecutors in 2017 and 2018. The public relations department of the Prosecutor’s Office informed ‘Zhoghovurd’ that for 2019, the procurement process for this clothing was conducted through a competitive bidding process.
Furthermore, prosecutors are speaking out again. They expressed their dissatisfaction to the paper, questioning: if these coats are neither worn nor kept in closets, what is the purpose of holding that competition and reordering them? Moreover, how is it possible that in both 2016 and 2019, the same organization won the competition?
The newspaper has also found out that the number of departments in the Prosecutor General’s Office has increased from 9 to 12.
