Lidian Armenia Demands 1 Million Dram Compensation from Lawyer
Lidian Armenia LLC has filed a lawsuit against lawyer Nazeli Vardanyan, demanding 1 million drams in compensation for damages. This was reported by environmental activist Tehimen Yenokyan on his Facebook page.
He specifically wrote: "The company claims that its business and good reputation have been harmed, although in my case, the judge imposed the burden of proof on the company regarding whether it possesses business and good reputation. The lawsuit has been filed against Ms. Nazeli Vardanyan for the following statement: 'Why is 80 million being transferred to the Jermuk Foundation when Jermuk is not an affected community? What does this mean? This is a form of bribery; there is no other explanation...'. The company seeks a public denial of this information.
Interestingly, the claim's contents in the registered case in the judicial database do not contain any punctuation marks. What is remarkable is that the case was returned and then refiled in court. The first preliminary hearing took place on September 25, and then a trial was scheduled for December 2 at 12:00, but Ms. Nazeli Vardanyan was not notified about this case, and the trial proceeded without her notification.
