Resident of Artashavan Village Involved in Cattle Theft; Police Search for 'Nargiz' and 'Tsaghik' Cows

On November 22, law enforcement officers from the Criminal Investigation Department of the Ararat Police Department detained 34-year-old Arman Hakobyan, a resident of Artashavan village in the Ararat region, according to shamshyan.com.

As reported by photojournalist Gagik Shamshyan, he is suspected of stealing one head of large cattle from a pasture located in the administrative area of Artashavan in September of this year. Under pressure from the facts presented at the police station, A. Hakobyan confessed that he had committed the theft.

The police of Ararat have established that A. Hakobyan had stolen another head of large cattle from a fellow villager, 34-year-old Ofik Eghiazaryan, in the same pasture in September. According to sources, Arman Hakobyan is better known in the village by the nickname 'Malenkov' because it is said that his favorite poem is 'Two sheep, three cows, a sacrifice for you, Malenkov'. The victim, O. Eghiazaryan, works as the head of the staff at the Artashavan community but has not previously reported the incident of theft to law enforcement for unknown reasons.

The police are making efforts to locate the stolen cows named 'Nargiz' and 'Tsaghik'.
