Criminal Case on Illegal Adoptions Transferred to Investigative Committee
The criminal case initiated by the National Security Service (NSS) regarding illegal adoptions has been transferred to the Investigative Committee of the Republic of Armenia.
According to a statement issued by the NSS, they have already revealed numerous cases of illegal adoptions in violation of Armenian legislation. A criminal case was filed in the NSS’s investigative department according to relevant articles of the Criminal Code of Armenia.
Taking into account the public interest surrounding the apparent crime and ongoing pre-investigation, the NSS finds it necessary to inform that the mentioned case, initiated on October 26 this year, was transferred to the Investigative Committee on November 12 through the Office of the Prosecutor General, for further investigation in accordance with procedural norms.
