Government to Address Housing Issues for Families Displaced from Azerbaijan
The government decided in today's meeting to establish a procedure for issuing certificates for the purchase of apartments to permanently house individuals displaced from Azerbaijan between 1988 and 1992 who are in urgent need of housing.
The aims of the initiative include defining the conditions for issuing these purchase certificates and facilitating their distribution through contracts with families displaced from Azerbaijan. The timeframe for the purchase of housing (residential houses) via these certificates is set at one year, without an option for extension.
This project proposes to definitively resolve the housing issues of families forcibly displaced from the Republic of Azerbaijan during 1988-1992. As a result of this initiative, 112 families will be guaranteed their constitutional inalienable right to live with dignity, thereby addressing housing problems that have persisted for 30 years.
