Serzh Sargsyan Urges to Accelerate Ratification Process of Agreement with European Union

The leader of the Republican Party of Armenia and former president Serzh Sargsyan, during a speech at the European People’s Party (EPP) congress ongoing in Zagreb, Croatia, requested the European Union to accelerate the ratification process of the agreement signed in Brussels in 2017.

“As for the relations between Armenia and the EU, the former president emphasized that the ties with the European Union are still developing based on the foundations laid during Tusk's leadership. The agreement signed in Brussels in 2017 will be implemented, improving the lives of our citizens. From this high podium, I urge you to expedite the ratification process,” concluded Serzh Sargsyan in his speech.

During his address, Sargsyan also talked about the power transition in Armenia in 2018, the current phase of negotiations over Artsakh, and other issues.
