Residents to Pay for Drinking Water Set at New Tariff
The Public Services Regulatory Commission of Armenia has set the water tariff for the year 2020 at 180.174 drams per cubic meter during today’s session, which is 1.633 drams lower than the rate proposed by the company. There will be no change in the drinking water tariff for resident subscribers. Previously, the tariff was 191 drams, but the government subsidized 11 drams, making it effectively 180 drams for consumers. Now, without government subsidies, the water tariff will be set at 180 drams.
